Exploration on the Application of GIS Technology in the Field of Ecological Protection

The ecological environment system is a complex system related to the sustainable development of society, economy and nature, including biological resources, land, water resources and climate resources that affect the survival and development of human beings. The security status of the ecological environment system affects the sustainable development of the entire ecosystem, and ensuring ecological security has become the key to coordinated regional development. The red ecological protection line is the boundary line of the ecological protection area. Delineating the ecological protection red line can not only achieve the purpose of protecting the ecological environment and protecting natural resources, but also promote the sustainable development of the city. Therefore, this article aims to study the application of GIS technology in the field of ecological protection. On the basis of analyzing the functions of GIS and the advantages of GIS in ecological protection, make full use of the powerful spatial data processing and analysis functions of GIS to quickly and efficiently obtain county areas. Eco-environmental sensitivity relies on data that is not easy to obtain by conventional methods, builds an ecological environmental sensitivity assessment model, and completes the ecological environmental sensitivity assessment. The evaluation results show that through statistics of important areas, insensitive area accounts for 22.92%, general sensitive area accounts for 37.73%, sensitive area accounts for 28.21%, and extremely sensitive area accounts for 13.15%.
