The consolidated Police / Sheriff Records program serves as the central repository for all City Police, Coconino County Sheriff and Coconino County Detention Facility reports and related records. Information on police reports is entered into the Intergraph Public Safety Records Management System and is readily available for viewing or retrieval. Monthly statistical reports are produced for department staff and for FBI crime tracking. Now that the Records software is shared by five area agencies including Flagstaff, Williams, and Northern Arizona University Police Departments, the METRO Task Force, and the Coconino County Sheriffs Office and Detention Facility. The staff has immediate electronic access to detailed information pertaining to calls for service, incidents, crime reports, vehicles, arrests and jail bookings.
Residents wishing to obtain a copy of a police report may request in person, by mail, or order a copy online. Victims of any UCR Part 1 Crime(s) may receive one free copy of a report, in which they are listed as the victim; this includes photos and/ or videos. For all other offenses, the copy fee for police reports is $8 for the first 20 pages and $0.10 a page thereafter.
To submit a request, please provide a report number (if available), date, time, and location of the incident, or name(s) of the person(s) involved. Requests for copies may take several days to process, depending on the nature of the incident and if the case is still under investigation.
